This was a gathering of the "Pirate Association," in my hometown of Fernandina Beach, FL. They set up tables and booths that have pirate stuff kids can look at, like guns and shells and things like that. There was also a "talk like a pirate" contest. This is an annual event, but the pirates are regulars in downtown Fernandina.
